It is built around a traditional Dayak longhouse, where you can learn Dayak culture and history first hand from Dayak story tellers. You can also engage in traditional Dayak activities. Develop your talent as a Dayak dancer, up your hunting skills with a traditional blowpipe and learn the details about Dayak tattoos.

Tenggarong is also the hub for wildlife and adventure activities further upstream the Mahakam river. The city is very well accessible by road. A drive from Balikpapan through the Borneo jungle on the paved road takes about 3.5 hours.
