Kedaton

the facts

The Kedaton Kutai Kartanegara was originally meant to be the residence of the Sultan, but has been transformed into a cultural centre to preserve art and culture. It is the epicenter for the cultural events in Tenggarong. The architecture is a mix of modern and Kutai Kartanegara palace style. Inside, visitors can get a feel of a royal interior and see a display of traditional Sultan’s costumes and traditional music equipment.

The Kedaton is located just next to the wooden Amir Hasanoeddin Jami mosque and within walking distance from the Sultan’s palace.
